I do not like to eat Hershey Kisses, but I do like to make things with Hershey Kisses. Until recently, that pretty much involved pressing a kiss onto the center of a freshly baked peanut butter cookie. Then I saw a post for Chocolate Acorn Treats on the From Chapel Hill to Chickenville blog, and I doubled my Hershey Kiss food-craft knowledge.
To make these treats, you will need icing, mini Nilla wafers, Hershey Kisses, and pretzel sticks. If you make or buy white icing, add some cocoa powder or food color to make the icing brown. Place a bit of icing on the Nilla wafer, place an unwrapped Hershey Kiss on the iced mini Nilla wafer, break a piece off the end of a pretzel stick, and secure the pretzel to the mini nilla wafer with icing. Now you have the perfect edible acorn!
