2012′s 12 Months of Giveaways: {Giveaway 12 My Favorite Things}

December 069 Edited 2012s 12 Months of Giveaways: {Giveaway 12 My Favorite Things}

12 giveaways in 12 months. I made it. Hallelujah. Granted, nothing was too overwhelming stunning, but this project was at best a challenge.

At about this time last year, I received gifts just like those you see here (well, mine were scarlet and gray, but I won’t force that on you), and I use them all the time. Actually, it is more like, ALL THE TIME.

Some of my favorite posts on other blogs follow a weekly or monthly “my favorite things” theme. To close out this eventful, slightly tumultuous, strangely fulfilling year, I would like to share with you just a few of my favorite things.

To enter to win, please leave a comment on this blog post. Feel free to tell me whatever you please. If you need ideas, tell me what you are looking forward to in the new year or this holiday season. Or tell me what you would like to see me post here on this blog.

Because this time of year is full of hustle and bustle, the final giveaway will run for two full weeks. Entries must get to me by 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, December 27. I will use a random number generator to pick the winner.

Thank you all for entering over this past year. Perhaps in the future, I will bring giveaways back. Until then, you’ve got one last chance.

Good Luck!

2012′s 12 Months of Giveaways: {Giveaway 11 Christmas Platter}

product.31811.large  2012s 12 Months of Giveaways: {Giveaway 11 Christmas Platter}

Since it is now November 12, I believe it is time for a holiday-themed giveaway. I am not one for getting out the Christmas decorations out until after Thanksgiving, but in order to give the winner the maximum amount of time to enjoy this holiday platter, I am starting early. I have a Longaberger All The Trimmings Platter to give away to one lucky reader this month. This product was generously provided by my favorite Longaberger consultant, a.k.a my sister.

Longaberger baskets have long been a staple “decoration” in my family. I use the term decoration hesitantly as my mother will likely argue her hundreds (or at least what seem like hundreds) of baskets all serve a purpose. As a kid, I called that purpose creating extra work for the chore called dusting. As I grow older, however, I do see how many of those baskets actually serve a purpose.

I watched mom, and my grandma, carry many 9 x 13 baking dishes and pie plates to potlucks via those baskets. I must admit I like my Collegiate Series basket to contain a lot of smaller items on my desk. I also bake warm dips in one of the mini  pie plates I have, which I am guessing has since been retired since I can find only the regular size pie plate on the site.

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment on this blog post. To give Thanksgiving its fair due, I’d love to know what your favorite dish for the upcoming holiday is. Or since this platter is great for holding holiday cookies, tell me what you consider your favorite Christmas cookie.

Interested readers have just under two weeks to enter. This contest will end at 1201 a.m. EST on November 26. I will use a random number generator to select the winner. I will contact the winner via the email provided in their comment submission. Good Luck!

2012′s 12 Months of Giveaways: {Giveaway 10 A Little Baking Kit}

SAM 3000 Edited e1334768486285 2012s 12 Months of Giveaways: {Giveaway 10 A Little Baking Kit}

It’s giveaway time! This month I will send one lucky reader a little baking kit complete with a 12-cup Mini Muffin Pan and pretty Mini Baking Cups. I also plan to throw in a little something else as soon as I find a little time this weekend to find just what it is I want to add.

As always, please leave a comment on this blog post to enter to win. Since this little giveaway is designed to encourage the act of baking, tell me, “What is your favorite muffin or cupcake recipe to bake?” I think my favorite cupcake recipe is all of them. And this time of year, I am looking forward to some more Pumpkin Cheddar Muffins.

As for the fine print, the contest will end at 1201 a.m. EST on October 29. I will use a random number generator to select the winner. Unless five or fewer people enter. Then I will probably just write your names on a strip of paper and pull the winner out of a hat. Good Luck!
